The Be A Catalyst movement is a group of youth that have bigger thoughts than that of a normal high school student. The video below explains a little of what the movement stands for.
The movement came some out of my own want to make a difference but mostly out of my AP Language Arts class. Let me explain a little. The things I see teenagers doing everyday on facebook and in public makes me embarrassed to be one. I had lost hope in our next generation, our 'future', until I walked into my AP Language Arts class. The kids adults (in 17 year old bodies) showed me that everyone isn't like that. They are the people I am proud to call my peers. In believing there were others that thought like me and a project from our teacher, this movement was born. I can only hope that there are enough of us to come together and reek havoc upon the teenager stereotype. This is a group effort, don't be afraid to post your ideas. Or to check out our facebook page, which is free to use to share your ideas with others! facebook/BeACatalyst
